Welcome to the Grateful Hideaway in the Hills! The location of the cabin is very convenient but also very private/tucked away in the beautiful Black Hills it is truly a home away from home. 5 beds and 2 baths make it seem like home. Other amenities include WIFI, a large hot tub, multiple smart TV's, and an air conditioning unit. 2+ stall garage is perfect for vehicles or toys along for the trip.

Jack's Getaway is a charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath home located in the Historic Gold Mining town of Lead, SD. Check out the Homestake Open Cut and adjacent mining museum right in Lead, or head for the Hills for a great day on the trails, lakes, and picturesque byways. Return to your cabin and enjoy the full kitchen or a BBQ on the patio or take a short 4-mile ride to Deadwood for a night of dining & entertainment.

Jack's Getaway has a cozy cottage feel that is a comfortable retreat for all our guests. This home faces 2 streets, Grand Avenue in the front, and Richmond Street in the back where the parking is located – including use of the garage. The 3 bedrooms are upstairs surrounding a full bathroom including tub, and the main floor features the full Kitchen, Dining, and Living areas as well as the laundry and another full bathroom. When you step outside, you will find the relaxing front porch, complete with a porch swing to enjoy the last light of the day. The back patio has your Blackstone® grill and plenty of room to sit outside to take in those awesome summer nights. You will have usage of the garage while you are there, and there is an alley adjacent to the property to pull a trailer into so you can easily unload the bikes, ATVs, or UTVs.

Jack's Getaway is located in a residential neighborhood in Lead, SD. The road has a 10% grade, so 4-wheel drive is absolutely necessary in the winter and highly recommended in the summer if you are pulling a trailer. Due to the roads being narrow in this residential area, accommodating large trailers can be tricky. Parking is very limited. There is no on-street parking, just the driveway, garage, and permit parking in the adjacent alley. The driveway will accommodate 2 vehicles, and the garage will fit 1. A trailer parking permit can be obtained from the City of Lead to park in the alley adjacent to the house to the west - cost is $10. It is easy to get around Lead, Deadwood, and the surrounding area with your personal vehicle, but there are several cab services available as well.

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
